last winter i went without a heater in the crx and that was not very pleasent.

So this year winters commin on early and supposed to be alot worse.

so im trying to figure out why my heater doesnt work...the AC works but not the heat?

i have no clue what to check for this sort of problem so if you guys could give me some things to check out it would be appreciated.

thanks

Make sure that both valves are being operated when you turn the heat knob on your climate control. The water valve is in the engine bay, near the firewall. The second valve is behind and just to the right of the center console, near the floor. The cable stay often comes off and this valve doesnt get turned. I thought I didn't have a heater until I swapped that valve underneath, and presto!, blazing hot air.

The part on the heater core is a mix flap - not a valve... but it's cable-operated just the same. The only other potential problems that come to mind are a collapsed heater hose or clogged heater core.

Well that valve behind the center consol was the problem. The heat is extremely hot.

I cant believe it was that simple to fix..it took about 20 seconds to find it and turn the valve and find out that was the problem...wish i woulda of known that last winter..o well at least i dont have to suffer this winter.

thanks alot!

Glad to hear it worked. I was equally surprised/thrilled when I realized that was the heater problem on my car (well maybe not equally thrilled, I do live in Arizona...).

First off, introduce yourself in the lounge. People will help more if they know who they are talking to.

About your problem, you made it a bit confusing. Your getting heat on the floor but not the vent or window defrost? Is that correct?

Is the fan pushing air though the vents?
