Hey, I used to own a 91 HF but sold it this summer. I have an s-10 now and I'm trying to work out a trade for a crx. I wanted to know how much you guys think this car is worth? Thanks in advance for any help, heres the link:

Looks clean. In my area, that would go for $4000-$5000 cdn.

I could see it going for $3,500 around this area pretty easily, depending upon the names on the parts. It is never a good sign when they say "racing springs" and no name of manufacture. Original shocks?

The front end looks good, and the rest of the car doesn't look to shabby either, although I'd like more pix to really comment on it. In any case, I'd pay $3,500 for it in that shape. Maybe $4,000 if everything is in really good shape and its not a "project car" still but actually a completed car.

Look it over top and down and:

1. Check the trunk underneath the carpet by the spare for rust / water damage.
2. Look very closely at both rear quarters, rust hides under the bumper before it creeps out frequently.
3. Shocks and springs - if there are aftermarket springs but original shocks guess what might be blown?
4. Wiring - is it hacked to ****? Does it look professional?
5. How does the swap run? Does it shake the whole car constantly?
6. If it has a sunroof (I don't remember sorry) make sure that works properly and looks good.
7. Check for bondo using the magnet trick.

That's about all I can think of at the moment.

That should be a sticky for buying a Crx, or ANY Honda for that matter!

Just a note that, If it is a REAL SI, it will have a non-glass, factory power sunroof. Check that for rust on the panel and be sure it shuts properly.

Its a good check list yes. but dont let one thing stop you from buying the car. In the end its all up you.

The biggest thing is rust. Rust can make or break a project. It looks clean but alway look hard for it.

Since you have owned a CRX in the past, you dont really need this but its still good to bring up

A stock CRX with little or no rust go for about 2500 or so, so 3000 to 3500 i think is a good price. The highest i would go is 4000 and that only if everything was done within the past couple months and by a shop.

I would agree that around here, that rex would go for about $3500. Just check out the usual things that were already listed, also that write-up that Dodo, just posted up is a very good one. Goodluck on getting it, and hopefully you will be posting up some pics of your new rex.

im still looking, i was going to trade my 98 s10 for the car but he backed out because a few of his friends tried to tell me his car was worth more than my truck, lol. Oh, well, I'll let you guys know what happens and let ya know when I get ahold of another crx. thanks for all the help
