Honda ignitions are more than sufficient for a stock engine. The only way they will really give you gains are in high boost, or very high compression engines. Otherwise, they tend to be a headache.

Agreed. I just uninstalled an MSD system on my friend's CRX, and he even has high compression (12+). The MSD was going bad, it runs perfect now.

A milled head, even a decked block with 2-ply headgastek does not mean anything compression wise if you don't know the thickness of it.
I wouldn't mess with it, if you're not -REALLY- sure about detonation, and your engine management.

I've seen 11sec drag cars run bone stock honda ignition systems.

Don't mess with this. You have enough problems as it is.
If you want to do anything, look into turbo-edit or something and a decent PM7 ecu that you can set up.

ok cool thanks......ill just sell it. i mean it only cost me 10 dollars so even if i dont sell it, its not a big loss so ok cool.

but i always thought that if you shave the head serfice and get it all level and all of that process stuff, wont that raise the compression????

oh ok i was not sure what you was meaning by detenation.. ok cool so how do you stop that, can you use higher octaine fuel or somthing, or put more fuel into it?
That's tech basics 101.
More fuel without more air equals rich mixture. That's no good either.

Go on how stuff works, and demand your money back. That tech course of yours skipped chapters one through ten or something.

yeah my tech class dont teach you much, but they did teach about fuel and air mixtures, and isnt 14.7:1 ideal fuel air ratio!!!!

uhh i am just trying to find the best thing to do to my Zc to make it one of the fastest d series in my town, there is one but its a jdm d15b turboed on 10 lbs w/block guard. so i dont know

I tend to agree with everyone else here about ignition systems. But I do have a MSD cap and Blaster coil without the ignition box just because it is cheaper and easier to replace an external coil than an internal one.

When my coil failed a couple years ago I was able to replace it with a MSD cap and coil for about the same price as a new oem coil. Plus if this Blaster coil ever fails they are easy to replace and dirt cheap.
