dose anybody know what i could do to find out what is causing my car to hesitate around 3500 to around 4000 when cold!!!! and only when cold... but it dose hesitate start off!!!! mainly thinking thats cuz of my light weight flywheel 11.8 lbs exactly!! any help please

Have you checked the condition of the cap and rotor.

I have noticed in the past that on a misfire with a specific rpm range the cap and rotor were usually the culprits.
Check the cap for any cross firing(white chalky marks).What is the condition of the rotor? crispy? pitted?
Start there and let us know..

ha ha cool thanks dude......... uhh the last time i checked my rotor was like last month when some how it fell off of the dizzy shaft.... some how.. but it was good then and my cap well on the other hand its pretty crapy.... do you think that the ignitor in the dizzy will cause any!!!!!!! because i have hurd of some problems like that too

Yes ignitors can cause that as well,but I have heard misfires through the entire rpm band as oposed to a specific rpm.

If the cap and rotor are known good look at that ignitor.
BTW does the tach jump at all during the misfire conditions?

ok cool thanks........ and yeah some it jumps like 2 or 3 hundred rpms...... and some times like every now and then it jumps like 1000 or so... but uhh i can get a used dizzy thats guaranteed good for 30 dollars and its for the jdm zc from my friend.... who used to have a 91 si with the zc in it

An easy way to fix it is letting the car warm up before pushing it to 3500+rpm. I start my car, wait 30-60 seconds for the oil pressure to get good and the oil to move around and to get some warmth going, then I drive with nothing over 3000rpm until the neddle on the heat gauge starts to move. It's my pet peeve to warm my engine up. I do it during the summer too.

Do your basic tuneup. I too have seen a bad cap/rotor give misfire in higher rpm range when cold only due to the moisture that was getting in it (ages gasket). I new cap and rotor fixed it. That was on my old SOHC ZC.

Wow...oh...well you really shouldn't be 'playing' with a cold engine. VERY hard on the pistons and the rings. But it's your money, your motor and your car.
