I've noticed that aftermarket exhausts denote that exhausts made for DX's and Si's are different than that of a HF. What is the difference? Is the exhaust manifold just longer or shorter than the HF?

The HF has the cat much closer to the head. On HFs it's right in front of the block. On the Dx and Si it's underneath the shifter area. Aftermarket catbacks are sized to meet up with the dx/Si cat.
So its likely that will become irrelevent when i swap in a SOHC ZC next week?

Yes, and now's a good time to change the whole header-back exhaust out.
I can't find a CRX exhaust I like, so ebay it is....
