i dont have alot of money to spend on my crx right now but want more horsepower, i currently have an hf with the stock engine but i was wondering if the dx head would work with the hf block?? i know that the big difference is the fact that the hf head is 8 port and the dx head is 16 but other than that whats the diff and is it possible?

It won't work. the HF pistons don't have valve reliefs for a 16-valve head. A D16A6 swap from an Si would be a good relatively inexpensive upgrade.

The D16A6 came in the CRX Si, Civic Si, and Civic EX from 88-91.
