Ok, so my car(finaly) runs ok now. Only problem is that it idles way to high(around 2k rpms) when i first turn it on. After a couple of minutes though, it goes down to about 900. i have tried aujusting the idle screw, but it only takes it down to about 1700 rpms and it stalls once the car gets hot. i'm thinking it might be the idle air controle valve. Is that the first thing on the back of the intake manifold by the throttle body? BTW i'm talking about a d16.
I have cleaned it using TB/intake cleaner, could that have screwed it up? thats what my manual said to use.

Yes it is the little solenoid looking like deallie on the back of the intake manifold. So you undid the 12mm bolts and actualy took off the iacv and cleaned the screen on the inside? That's pretty much all you can do. And jfyi, a cold engine idle of about 2k or a little less is normal.
