I don't want to sound like an ass, but I wouldn't buy anything turbo related if you have to ask a question like that. I know D series engines are cheap, but why go through the work of putting a turbo'd engine together multiple times? There are tons of resources out there for turbo'ing a D16 like homemadeturbo.com.
And since I don't want to be an ass, I'll "mention" that a T3/4 is a pretty common turbo used on our cars
Hmm. Seems a little cheap for a turbo like that coming brand new. However, its a pretty common turbo used on B-series swaps in cars that are looking to make pretty good power. The T3 turbine helps it to spool faster than, say, a T4 would, but it'll take awhile for it to do so on a stock engine.
A $175 ebay turbo is NOT real HKS or Garrett or whatever they claim it to be. Most of these turbos crap out after a month, but there is the occasional miracle story of a guy running an ebay turbo for 6+ months with no problems!
