Posting a thread of it's own here to discuss, instead of discussin it and jacking another thread.

This thing is damn close to showroom clean!
I could do without the louvers(sp?) but looks like the only thing it is missing is the OEM armrest.

The money shot.

Forgot this one. Yes it will even come with a fitted CRX cover .

bah, check out the 3rd gen firebird in the background of a couple pics! :p

I'd love to have that crx too, but I'm in the same boat. I want to use vehicles, not just stare at them. I'd be a crime to use that museum piece for actual transportation. Minty in so many ways....out comes the tissue....

That fitted CRX cover is hot! Where can I get one?! buaha
Go back in time about 10 years and order one at the dealership. The only way you can get them now is to be lucky enough to find someone selling one, or buy a CRX with one stuffed in the back storage box that they didn't know about or something.

There's a six page long debate on HT about that car. It's got a few juvenile responses that are typical for HT but an interesting debate none the less. It bascially has broken down to - the old "is the CRX a collector car or not" and who "deserves" the car.

The whole "is the CRX a collector car" thing has been debated to death. The fact the guy has turned down an offer for $7500 from Robb and apparently has another offer of at least $9000 for the car should answer that question. The CRX is the modern equilivent of the Triumph TR 3 or MG Midget. It's not comparable to Hemi Cudas or 454 SS Chevelles. The CRX is already "collectible" but they are never going to command massive Barrett Jackson prices.

Finally who "deserves" it.....to me anyone who is willing to pay the seller's price. I agree it'd be a shame if some 16 year old using mommy and daddy's money bought to turbo to streetrace but they paid the $9 grand asking price it's their's to do with what they want. It looks to be a very nice, well preserved "survivor" car. Hopefully someone will buy it, leave it alone, and drive it occasionally.

Well $7500 is a fair offer for this car. I know he says he paid $9000 for it, but the car is stock, and it will need some money freshening it up a bit, detailing, tuneup etc.

He probably will get $9000 for it (maybe more)
Someone who really really wants it will pay for it..
