I was broken into last night... they pried back the drivers window and let themselves in... at least they didn't break any glass. My Alpine deck was stolen, which is maybe worth $80, and my crappy bazooka tube thats worth maybe $50.

I'm not really upset about the electronics being gone, but THEY SMASHED UP MY PRISTINE CLIMATE CONTROL!!! Broke right in half, and took the lower cigarette lighter half of the bezel. What were they thinking?

*An interesting note... they left the 12pack of Corona I had sitting on the passenger floor, and $60 worth of winnings from the casino behind the drivers seat...

Anybody have a spare bezel thing?

Definitely sorry to hear about the climate control, that's a b-tch. Idiots are the only people who steal radios anymore, like crackheads.

I'll be pulling one out of my car the end of this week / beginning of next and would be willing to part with it for like $20 + shipping if that's fair.

I know the feeling too, my x-wifes civic got hit last night, they took the gauge cluster, surrounding plastic, removed the radio [but left it since they didn't find the faceplate], and took some of the surrounding plastic from the radio area. Scattered everything from the glove box and 2 bags inside as well.
Also hit her neighbors civic and 2 other honda in the neighborhood [appartments].
Thankfully no broken glass or whatnot.

Dirtbags is too nice a word.
My 10 yr old daughter now feels somewhat violated from this since they also completley dug through her bag in there as well.

Car insurance FTW.
Car insurance unfortunately rarely covers all of the aftermarket radio parts that many of us enjoy. I have a horrible old Sony deck that plays CDs and burned discs just fine, but it powers a set of 4 Alpine speakers. I'm trying to figure out some way to make it sneaky about what I've got once I get a good deck in there cause I'm concerned about this.

Looks like its back to looking at Vipers.

It was a "buy it now" auction yesterday, I guess the seller changed his mind....
Sometimes when theres a bid below buy it now but not at the buy it now then it strips that off the auction.

I was just asking what I was cause I paid that for it before realising I just needed to work on the wiring in mine to fix it right :D

haven't had much audio gear in the past, but a buddy has had stuff jacked twice...both times at college. Insurance paid for replacement cost, which was cheaper than what he actually paid the first time, but he got new gear.
