Shop manual, page 16-159 makes it look like you pop the cover at the base, and unbolt it--there are a couple of bolt and washers, and a water seal. To get the motor, remove the hatch trim and take out three bolts.

Of course, that's just the pic, the real world is much different and much harder. (;
If I do remember I just took the bolt off and rocked the are back and forth till it came off the spline shaft. Yours might be on tighter or something.

Flip that cap up and remove the nut. Hope its not stripped on the arm.
that little rubber like thing is a cap?

hmm, that makes more sense. guess I'll go beat it up in a little while...
Yeah it kind of hinges up if I do remember correctly but yeah the nut is under that.

Dang, guess I won't need the air grinder...

Nope, havent messed with it.

I just fell down my steps out front, got mad and whipped my snow shovel across the street.

I'm almost too embarassed to go over and ask my neighbor for it back. lol. I may just go buy a new one.

Did you just grab the wiper arm and try to unscrew the whole damn thing?

I think the way you pop the cover is to pry it up with a snow shovel....(;
no no.. it was that way when I got it. lol.

I am planning to just cap the hole and remove it if I can't easily fix it. I dont want to put any more money into this car than I have to.

So, instead of fixing it you could take the wiper off the arm, pop the arm into the upright position, and then put a boating flag on it.....

Sorry, can't help myself, bored today--it's chilly for here with a high wind, so I've been working in small shifts cleaning the inside of the door, replacing the plastic cover, and stuff 6.5s into the front--thanks to the thread you started, and that pic bobski posted in the thread that baker432 referenced. All this inspiration is taking a toll on this old man.

BTW, friday and yesterday I converted the ashtray and a dock into an iPod holder, pics up tomorrow...
