I am no longer a crx owner *pics*

Some of you may remember much of this story but for those who don't.......my dad's been looking for a new car for a few months and he said he'd sell me his prelude when he found a car he liked. Well because he's been looking for so long he told me last month that if he didn't find one by spring, he'd just let me pay him for his lude and he'd take the rex in and nock $1,000 off the lude's price like it was a trade in. So today I went to the bank and got the money for the lude and traded him keys. So I am now the new owner of a 1990 prelude Si and no longer a man with a rex :( . I already miss the rex and I haven't even owned the prelude for a full 12 hours yet haha.

It's weird driving the prelude.....it's a much nicer car but I still feel like I'm driving "my dads car" and not my own. It's weird for me getting used to it being an automatic too.....I don't like that but thats about the only bad thing about the car so I can't complain too much. It has a little surface rust that I'll take car of this summer and I might rebuild the motor too since it burns a little oil. I'm thinking that I'll just keep the lude as a reliable DD and eventually I'll look for another rex. I still love the crx so much more but theres simply no way I could pass up a deal like my dad gave me. My new car is fast, better in the turns, has less rust, and it has more factory options (my crx was a DX and the lude is an Si. you do the math).

And since the crx will still be at my house I'm sure I'll be able to drive it occasionally so it wont be too bad. It's just gonna take some getting used to. And trust me I'll still be here at the community since I really like reading what you guys post up......even when it in no way shape or form involves me.

Im sorry for the loss of the rex!.... but as long as you still get to look at it and Drive it SOMETIMES.... but then again that might be worse, knowing that its there, and its not ur main car! :(
yeah sorry ma i sold a crx once and thebought a 89 prelude si. i liked it and it was twice as fast as my crx but it wasnt a crx so i sold it and bought another crx last month.
I really like that style of Prelude. If I were to own a lude, that would be the one.

I hope you enjoy it.

Now onto the things you know we're all going to say. WTF WERE YOU THINKING :!: :?: :!: lol.

Well I gotta go to work here in a few minutes so I'll try and take some pics tomorrow if I have time. But even if I do it will take me a day to put them up. Between school and work I have practically no time at all now. But yeah I'll get some pics of the lude up for sure and I'll try and take some of the crx to so you can tell me upgrade or downgrade. I lost a rex so I'm sure your gonna say downgrade but when you compare the two cars I think youll see why I took the prelude. :D
Well, i have a funny story. Today i went to Autozone and parked my car. I came out and there was a Prelude sitting next to my car. Both were black and all i saw was the Honda logo on the prelude. Well, i was playing with my phone and then i realize that i dont own the prelude so i should try to get in it (i was at the door about to open it). They are nice i will give you that.

Your car was pushing over three, and im not saying thats a bad thing, god knows are cars can do it, but i still think its a good trade. There's plenty of time to own more CRX's.
Is the 'lude a 4 wheel steering model?
sounds like your dad ripped you off. I mean 1000 dollars and your car. Geez
no the lude's not a 4ws......but it still out turns the crx by a mile. I wish it was the 4ws because I think it would make turning into parking spaces easier. The crx was shorter and has a tighter turning radius at low speeds. But on the road you can tell the suspension in the lude is far superior. Theres a turn a few miles from my house that I wouldn't even think about taking at more than 15-20 mph in the crx but in the lude I took it at 30 yesterday and didn't even realize how fast I was going. The car could take it quicker but I wasn't trying to test the limits in it yet.

And nah harmonator he didn't rip me off. He sold me the crx for only $300 when I turned 16 so he gave me a break on the rex a year ago and his lude (now my lude :D) is worth about 2k so I came out about even.....actually a little ahead since my crx wouldn't be worth more than $800 unless it was sold to someone who really wanted a 1st gen rex.

There's the pics.....I'll try and take some of the rex friday. But I gotta go to work now so These will have to do. As you can see there's some rust like I said but it's not as much as what was on the crx so I'm happy with it. And I'll take care of it when I have more free time durring the summer.
I know the car need to be washed and blah blah blah......but be happy.....I just went and grabbed my moms camera, ran outside and took a few pics, then signed up for photobucket, and uploaded them all in less than ten minutes.

 Wasn't this discussed on here awhile back?

Not a bad deal from what i can gather. I don't think i could trade a Crx for it, but sounds like it would be a good DD until you can find another Crx.
The 90-91 Prelude Si's are def my favorite, as far as looks inside and out.
The Prelude is more of a "Sport Luxury" type of car.

automatic + brown interior + not a CRX = nope.

Second, Not so much on the crx part, but i dont like the color. Sorry to say, im only in to blacks. Plus i will never own one that doesnt have a stck again.
ok well first off, Thanks mithuth for fixing the pics. I've never put pics on a forum before and I had to go to work so I didn't have time to screw around and try to figure it out.

and jfrolang......I know the automatic sucks (it's the only big thing about the car that I don't like) but I actually kind of like the interior. It's not great but my crx's interior was just a plain old gray so who cares....not me. And although it's not a crx......I think a prelude would be my second choice as a DD unless I included the more expensive cars on my list. It still get's ok gas milage and since it's a honda it wll still be reliable and let me beat the living crap out of it for a few years while I look for another crx.

All and all, I'm happy with my new car.
