My roommate backed into my car. She came into my room very upset and in tears. I told her to calm down and it is just a car, but she was very upset. Here are some pics of the aftermath.

Where the hell am I supposed to get a new Mugen front bumper from now?

But yea, that really sucks man.... but you handled the situation right with your roommate... thats for sure! It really is only a car

People who -just- back into anther car make my skin crawl.
I've been driving in cities way way more crowded and narrow than Canada will ever be for almost 10 years, and I've never hit another car.
Especially a PARKED one! I don't understand what's wrong with people like that.

I don't care how "nice" she is. She obviously thinks other people's valued property isn't worthy of her full attention.
I hope she feels bad longer than it takes you to find a new bumper.

On a secondary note...I've seen worse fibreglass damage fixed. Take it to a bodyshop.

This is something that i worry about every night. I park off the street (thank god) but the parking area is about as big as a six bay garage and we have to fit 12 car back there. My car is always backed in along the side of the building and up aganist my roommates car.

About your car, Im with Seti on this one. After about the hour of swearing i would of done followed by and hour of crying, i would have sat down with her and figured out how its going to get fixed. Hats off to you for not blowing your top. Good luck with your baby.

Well Bas it is just a car. I think youre pissed because she broke the bumper lens that I got from you .

She is giving me $2000. So that should cover the repair which will be $1000 and then another $200 for paint and then another $250 for new lenses. Which means I have $450 left over to get my other CRX on the road for winter time.

My other roommate (her boyfriend) was carying a large sheet of wood and turned around whacking my camera on my tripod sending the whole thing over face first onto a concrete floor destroying my camera. LOL.

My other roommate broke my super wicked ashtray that snuffs out smokes really fast. So they all broke something of mine.

Oh the camera is under warranty so its sent away for repairs.

It IS just a car. But that's not the point.
Accidents happen. knocking a camera off, is an accident. Knocking over a soda, is an accident.
Backing a couple of thousand pounds of steel into a car that's supposedly "under control" is usually ignorance.

The lenses just occurred to me. What a waste.
Good thing you're getting cash out of this tho, instead of taking it through weeks of insurance papers.

I feel for you man, and can relate to your situation. In fact mine was worse, some c#nt samshed the front of my Mugen and did not even have the decency to leave a note or anything!!!! :evil: Mine was in worse condition than yours, it's repairable which is the best ting about FB, but it sucks as if it was PU that wouldn't happen.

my x girlfriends brother backed into my rex the first week i got it..smashing the fender up and destroying a corner light

his car dented the bumper in..about an hour later it popped out and looked like nothing even happened

month later my friend in his pathfinder backed right into the front damaging the hood a lil..knocked off the honda sign and broke the adjusting screw on the passenger side headlight so it shines on the tree tops...had to ghetto rig that to aim right.

me being the way too nice guy i am just asked my x's brother to find me a new fender and id fix it myself but that never happened

and my friend never had the deceny to tell me he even backed into my car

i really dont understand how people can back into other cars or anything either....first thing i do is look behind me before even moving..its not that difficult and its how your taught to drive

With all the mis fortune going around the crx world, i think im not driving my car intill the moon passes or the planets are out of a line or something. Whats next, the cars start to drive themselves and kill us all? We are all doomed.

but seriously, on the "it's only a car" angle, that's true, but you would think roommates / close friends would actually look out more for cars that are parked around them all the time. It's not like the cars were in some strange place or parked all haphazardly. I guess I'm on the more hostile side of the fence like Bas.
