Every time I break 4500 RPM, instead of getting some mad tyte VTAK, I'm getting a CEL for the VTEC pressure switch. Matt was over this weekend and suggested checking my oil, but it's fine. I have it connected to the ECU and grounded at the thermostat ground.

I know it has a separate sensor. The code I'm getting is for the pressure switch, not the solenoid. Obviously I could have a bad pressure sensor, but it came off a working car (I got it from Matt). I was just wondering if there are other things that might make that CEL come up.

try taking the pressure switch off and cleaning it out, its possible it might be clogged or dirty. Id also recommend checking the wire leading to it to make sure it isnt rubbed or shorting out either.

Trace the wire to the ECU aswell....
What seti said..I'd make sure the wire in question has continuity all the way to the ECU.
