What do you think of the 2-tone paint scheme?​

I decided yesterday I'm going to paint my car. The rust on the one quarter panel is getting really bad.

What do you guys think of this photochoped 2-tone job?

Side mouldings and door handles go yellow, the strip of roof between the windshield and glasstop goes black, the bottom stays black, with a Password JDM CF lip.

What colour was the car originally? That doesn't look like a stock yellow.

Luckily, it's not a Y-49. It was originally black, and has a sexy black engine bay.

I say take it back to stock...black. Or if you need to keep it yellow, then go the stock scheme with the black trim and door handles.

But...I do like the idea of an all-black hood, roof and hatch.

i would say the black top yellow middle and black bottom.

On the yellow, keep the mouldings stock, same with white, imo. Red, or a darker color look decent with the mouldings painted.

Take it back to black. Unpainted trim and molding though. Factory hood etc...

Take it back to stock and ill trade you a modified crx for it :wink:

Why does it seem that nobody likes painted trim? The SE came that way and I don't see anyone complaining about that. I just painted my car, and did the upper trim. I'm not ever going back to black on those pieces.

I think you should paint the mirrors too, since the band of black is running along the top of the car, and the mirrors are on the side. But I guess that's more of an up-to-you decision. At the very least, absolutely paint the door handles.

On a black car...paint the trim.
Any other color....keep it black.

it depends on the color for me. Brighter colors need the black to break it up and show the lines imo.
