Ah a first gen, how I love thee! Without rust the first gen crx is great! I drove mine for three years and never had an issue with it. Sure, the second gens look a little cooler, a little more refined, but the first gens have attitude and style!

the 1g has something the 2g never will have... old-schoolness.
I agree completely, being as my DD of the last 2 years is an '85 CRX Si but I must include that IMO, only the '84-'85 CRX'es deserve the "old-school" status as they rock recessed headlights, one of the reasons I was so persistant in getting the original Si (despite Honda's '20th anniversary" promotions, technically it's the 21st :? ) In '86-'87, they went with flush and lost some the more aggressive, distinctive styling. My '89 HF has flush, but there's nothing I could do about that...Mak

LOL Yeah right. I'm reminded almost daily that my 2nd gen is definitely old school. But I think technically, some of the first gens could officially wear those "antique car" plates.

The only people I've known who had 1st gens didn't take care of them. Their cars were junk. But whenever I see a clean one, it sure makes me appreciate them a lot more.

Thats the point in me posting it :wink: Im a sucker for clean first generation Crx's.

Although it would a battle if you put a clean 1st gen and a clean 2nd gen in front of me and I had to choose. I'd want to take them both!

I thought you were selling it bryman? Glad to see some pics of it again regardless.
I've struggled with this for the last year.

In one sense, I kinda feel like someone with more time, skills, and patience than me is more deserving of a car like this;
In another sense, I've put so much into it now that I don't know how I could ever imagine seeing it gone.
Such is life.
I still probably would sell it for the right offer, but realistically it's probably a long shot.
It would definitely take the right buyer to pay what it's worth for a 20 year old crx, when there are certainly newer cars w/ more aftermarket support available than my beloved little 1G for the money.
The car is at such a level now, that either someone who truly knows what's it's got into it would be willing to pony up the dough, or I'd have to take such a hit on it that I'd damn near give it away (which I won't do).
The only other option if I *really* wanted to get $$$$ from it is to part it out, but that is NOT an option....

I haven't seen any offers worthy of the car thus far...

:lol: I highly doubt it. CRX+H22+a/c......probably beyond my budget.....unless I can get a buyer for B16 soon after the swap but with enough time to get the a/c put in before N12. The other problem is I have about 3 other trips planned next year so the car budget is very tight.

That is definately a sexy 1g. I was just reading some posts over at Honda-Tech...I didn't know ComposiMo built that turbo setup...that guy builds amazing machines.
