1" drive impact wrench: $100

17mm impact socket and adapters: $25

5 gallon air tank, 1/2" NPT air hose and misc. fittings: $55

Removing a stubborn crank pulley bolt in 2 seconds flat: Priceless.

It was on clearance at harborfreight.

Yeah Harbor Freight. I tried to edit that in, but apparently "refresh" doesn't mean refresh on this browser and it gave me a "last edited..." thing. Anyway, it weighs about 30 lbs and I had to use a hydraulic hose to feed it, so it's pretty unwieldy, but definately gets the job done. It took care of the crank bolt with the power set to 2 out of 3. Now all it needs is a shut-off valve on the air feed from the compressor so I can carry it around the junkyard.

That's cool. There's also a tool available from I believe Snap-On as well as Honda for removing the crank pulley bolt.

Actually, it's made by SIR tools. It's just a locking device so that you can hold the crank pulley still while you use a wrench on the bolt. It prevents any strain going through your drivetrain and/or transmission.

Honda and Snap-On definitely make them also, here's the Snap-On:

http://buy1.snapon.com/catalog/item.asp?item_ID=53593&group_ID=12560

An "Alltrade" brand for cheap:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0000TMLWQ/102-6948090-0922550?_encoding=UTF8&v=glance&n=228013

The part number for the Honda part is 07MAB-PY3010A...I think list price is like $75.

Neither the Snap-On one or the Alltrade ones are for the D16A6 crank pulley. They are for the 92+ crank pulleys that have the hexagon hole in the center.

The Honda tool works by holding the flywheel still.
