...and it's a 6 year old girl.
Now I'm not impressed easily, but that girl is smarter at the age of 6 than I'll ever be.

Her favorite thing is memorizing political facts. Great. The thing is, not only can she recite some impressive speeches, she can also answer various open questions about them. It takes her a few seconds, but she actually knows what she's saying!!

At 4 she was on the oprah show, and was reciting the martin luther king speech. Normal 4year olds are at sesame street level or something.
At 6 she's reciting the declaration of independence!

Just look for yourself.

She's going to achieve great great things.

Liers, cheaters, backstabers and theifs work their way to the top and become presidents. Sure you have to be smart to do those things but I don't know about this girl, only time will tell.
Dren, so jaded. Do you really think there are no honorable people left in the world? That none of our leaders want to help make a change and better our world?

I think there are honorable people left in the world, but for presidents to get as high as they do, they have to pull some strings and do some not so moral/ethical things to get there. That is all part of politics. I think most honorable people stay out of politics as much as possible.

About this girl, though. I'm not impressed. So she can spew some facts; big deal. Genius does not equal success, however you may measure it. Hard work, and a little luck, are the best tools. I find that the harder I work, the luckier I get.
I'm gonna agree with this. The girl has phenomenal memorization skills, but memory does not equal intelligence. The fame she has achieved so early in life will undoubtedly help her though.

I once saw a video of two twin autistic girls that were mathematically brilliant. They were asked to name a 6-digit prime number, and were able to respond accurately with no hesitation at all. That's much more impressive to me.

Point taken. But even -I- think she's cute, and you know how much I like children.

So I'm gonna pretend she's gonna stay that way

What I'm certain of, is that she does not have a photographic memory.
I do, in a mild form. Let me tell you first hand it's not at all what it's cracked up to be.

I can walk in the supermarket, and remember exactly where I left my grocery list, tell you what type of ink, where I blotched, where the creases are etc etc etc. But I couldn't remember what I wrote on them if my life depended on it.

My brain works the same way with phone numbers for example. Exactly opposed to how normal people remember things. In order, and one number at a time.
I have to group things, or I can't visualise it, and I won't be able to remember it.
