Suspects allegedly tried to rob McDonalds with toy gun

A Wythe County football and basketball player is in jail tonight.

Eighteen-year-old Josh Maxwell is a Senior at Fort Chiswell High School. He and 20-year-old Michael Armbrister are charged with attempted robbery and a weapons violation.

The sheriff says they tried to rob the Fort Chiswell McDonalds early Sunday morning. Investigators say the pair went to the drive-up window, showed a gun, and demanded food. They never got the meal. They were arrested just minutes after the incident. The sheriff says it was a toy gun.

Ive done some stupid things but what the hell? This was right up the road from me...
If I had been working the drive-thru window, I would have just started laughing my ass off at them when they asked for food....

I have a lot of family that live down that way in Giles county. They, along with most people that live there are down home, nice country folk. This just goes to show there are idiots everywhere. Oh well,

btw if I were going to attempt to rob a place for food, it would NOT be Mcdonalds. Thats for sure. I mean geez...they have a DOLLAR menu. If you cant scrounge up a buck for a burger then starve. Not to mention its not even really that good :rolleyes1:

They did scrounge up a buck or two. They bought a toy guy Seems to me that they should have bought the food that way in stead of the toy gun.

They probably stole the gun from their little brothers, or kid up the street or something. If you aren't going to pay for McDs, you aren't going to buy a toy gun.

Wow wow wow, stop the presses hold on hold on...

You guys have a dollar menu? What the hell, where's our damn dollar menu!!! Cheapest meal is just a little bit under 5$ now from the 'value' menu. Double cheeseburger meal, I think it's 4.27$ or something...stupid canadian mcdonalds!

PS: Those guys are clown shoes, federal crime (attempted robbery) for 10$ of food lol.

i thought all mcdonalds sold the same food, til i went to new york to look at a car and i found a mcdonalds that sold mozzarella sticks... they were suprisingly good.
