Ok, so i've finaly got fed up with my crazy idle. My car idles at about 2000 when its cold. Then after a bit, it will idle anywhere from 500 to 1100. Also, when i turn my lights on, idle drops about 200. What could be causing this? and what can i do to fix it. Thanks.

high idle is a common problem.
You could try cleaning out the EACV. It's on the back of the intake with 2 bolts. Pop it off....easy job. Don't spill too much coolant tho.

There's also a control screw on the throttle body. Flat head, copper colored. Try adjusting it a bit.

The RPM's dropping sounds like your alternator needs refurbishing.
It's a messy job, but not hard and relatively cheap too.

I also heard from a Honda Mechanic that the Main Relay can caseu an crazy idle as well. Especially if it has been hot and humid or got wet.
I changed mine and it helped some.

i thought it was the alternator too. How would i go about refurbing it? what all do i need?

Any decent shop familiar with honda parts can get you a refurbishment kit.

And, the main relay has nothing to do with idle. It only controls the fuel.

One thing to add, when you adjust the screw on your TB(at least this is the process on OBD1) unplug your EACV/IACV and start the car, adjust idle to where you want it to be, shut car off, reconnect IACV and ECU. I doubt there isnt much change on an OBD0 setup, but I cant say for sure...
