I finally was able to get all of these pics processed and online from my trip to Augusta, GA for the IHBA Augusta Nationals Drag Boat Race... The trip was super fun, and i'll probably wind up going again next year... its impossible to describe watching the Top Fuel Hydro boats skate across the water at over 230mph within a 1/4 mile distance from a dead stop... it is the most amazing thing out there!

I LOVE drag boats, I remember back a few years ago my uncle had a Allison older one with a 2.5L Merc non bridge port the thing only dyno 238hp which is nothing like the new ones but it still did 108mph and pulled harder then a 911 turbo. I wish I had a Gtec or something back then so I could see what the 1/4 mile would be. I'm guessing high 12s low 13s. Since it was one of the lightest boats they made under 500lbs and 238hp to the prop.

I have a little race boat, its like 11'4 with a 40hp merc on it. Have yet to put it in the water with the 40 but with a 25hp merc it did 43mph and I have a new chopper race prop from a C class tunnel thats made for my 40 so I'm sure it will rock with the new motor and prop.

You should see what they do to Jetski, the GP1200 yamaha can do 84mph with a stage 2 kit. I watched this video of it, DAMN insane!!!.

But really minus the Drag boats there all crap comparied to Sleds....can't wait till winter!!!
