I've taken a long vacation away from the forums, crx's, and working on cars in general.

Well on the local msg board, a few guys were taking about their civics and looking for some advice on what they should do, and 6pages later im talking about my past and my cars, and im back in the game.

My 88' crx has been sitting for around two years now, and i had purchased a 91 integra w/ b16a1, suspension, and exhaust to daily drive until it stopped working 9 months ago, i put both in storage, as i just was too frustrated to work on them, and do anything with cars.

So the plan is to fix the integra, sale it, and use all the money to get my crx back up to snuff, i know the sale one get it there 100%, but it should get it running.

Here are my current plans for the crx, tell me what you guys think, ups and downs, and any other thoughts.

Crx Plans -

1st - get the car running
B18c1 (new timing belt, waterpump, seals, head gasket)
OBD1 conversion
Crv tranny (hard to find a decent cable tranny that dosen't need a rebuild)
hasport hydro mounts
real hydrolic clutch conversion
gator axles

2nd - interior - (the car is now gutted)
88 crx si everything, dash, center console, plastic.
88 crx si door panels and seats - reupholstered.
new molded carpet
relocate battery to hatch.

3rd - exterior
vis (mugen knockoff) sir front end conversion (does anyone make a poly version yet)
wingswest sides and rear
fix small nickel size spots on rear quarters.

4th - what ifs
if i use the crv tranny i can later add on a custom drive shaft with viscous coupling in the middle, eclipse rear end maybe, and custom axles.
90-91 wagon rear knuckles to accept drive shafts.
90-91 ex power steering rack.
custom ac system using b-series ac pump the car currently doesn't even have heater core in it, .

Currently-
the crx is gutted and not running, and has alot of **** inside it used for storage. It has a mpfi swap, and i think the reason it just wouldn't start one morning is a bad fuel pump.
I have a b18c1 that i picked up cheap that came out of a running rear ended car.

P.S. i've missed the conversations i've had during the long nights i spent on all the crx boards including, the resource, pgmfi, hmt, h-t, ef-honda, this board, and the many others.

yeah, i just don't spike it as often...

and i've also found some new hobbies.

ladies and gentlemen i am a fire spinner.





if i ever make it out to another meet, maybe niagra one day, i'll be glad to entertain the groups, with a lil fire show.

except im spinning fire on chains, and he's using a flash light in his hand.
slow shutter speed camera shots own.
moral of the story.

i have pics of me using led equipment i've designed as well, its just not as cool as spinning fire.

back on topic thou, what do you guys think about

obd1 + gsr + crv tranny in a crx.

tell your photographer to use a slow sync flash, if its dark enough your body will be sharp and clear but you'll still get the slow shutter effect. (thats how that one Mark posted was done)

but welcome back man, its been a long time since i've seen you around!

it wasn't for profesional photographer or anything...

just people trying to remember that night, i spin fire so often
and have so many pics of it, most become meaningless, unless
the timing is just right, and they catch a perfect move.

and the "we live to burn" is being photochopped by me, to make
tshirts for our fire team - string theory 101

bodies - white siliotes
flame - solid orange
on a hyperlink blue tshirt

on the back of the shirt
"string theory 101 - the art of manipulating physics"

and at the top were all going to the mall when we get
them, and having our nick names put on them.

hehe.

so i went to a local machine shop
and they quoted me 220 to have
the b16 head on the integra
resurfaced and valve job.

is there anything else i should have
asked for?

i need it done, when i replace the
head gasket for sure, i was blowing
blue smoke before i filled all the cylinders
with oil.

Sounds like you have a decent plan with a lot on your plate.
Are you going the AWD or RWD route with the Crx?
The idea of a RWD/AWD Crx sounds cool, but i still don't buy into it.
Seems like lots of folks have tried to do it but with minimal or less than what they expected results.
The ends did not justify the means, or time,$ and work put into it.

But what are you putting in the car, a R motor or the GSR motor, since you make references to both.
