I just bought a 400 watt (100x2) 2 channel amp to run the front speakers (Alpine 17c2) in my Rex. I just want good sound, no sub woofers here just good front speakers.

Since this is my first time to install an amp, can you give any hints/heads-ups and ideas?

Thanks

Bob

Keep the positive lead as far away from the signal cables as you can.

I always run the positive lead by the passenger side floor. And the RCA cables under the center console, by the shifter, under the cargo thingy.
Keep the ground as short as you can. Don't skimp on terminals. Sand down the sheet metal where rhe ground connects, and use a properly conducted plated or steel bolt on a good deep thread.
Good points are where the rear seatbelts would connect (if you have them)Some cars have the taps there already. Spare tire bracket works fine too.

don't forget to in-line fuse the positive cable going to your amp near the battery for the total current draw of your amp.
