I bought a new sunroof assembly to replace my rusted sunroof skin, the only thing is this one is faded black. I was wondering if there is a spray paint that looks similar to Rio Red so I can paint it to match until I can get the whole car repainted. LMK thanks

Hey! I dont know what kind of shops you have down in texas, but in canada we have this place called "Lordco" where you can pretty much order anything for your car!.... Im sure you can get these in a shop down there somewhere, but what it is, if you have "Touch Up Paint" or plan on buying some just get a bottle shown in the picture below (Its The glass jar-like thing with pink inside) and a Preval Sprayer! Costs about $15 for the sprayer and however much for touch up paint....but you can use it over and over again so long as you clean it with paint thinner when you are finished... Here are some pics of it...

.... just a suggestion.... then you can have touch up paint left over for whatever else!

Keep in mind, brand new Rio Red will not match your pinkish old Rio Red anyways. I'm in the same boat.

i bought a spray paint called "firebird red" or something on my wing. came out as good as a $5 can could. no new paint, especially out of a spray can, is ever going to match the factory paint anyway.

here's a pic before i had a digital camera so color is kinda off. it was my first time detailing the car. (thats an original FIFengineering resource.crx.org sticker btw)

it eventually started to fade. but whatever. like i said, a $5 can. what do you expect.

Duplicolor makes spray cans of paint for stock colors, same as their scratch pens, but a spray can. Idk if they'd have that color but it'd be a good place to check.

hmmmm, that firebird red doesn't look to bad. The red on the car is kinda faded so i'm not too worried about an exact match, just don't feel like driving around with a red car and a faded black sunroof. Thanks for all the comments guys I let you know how it comes out, should be starting a build thread soon as well.

btw, i think it must have been "PHOENIX RED" from duplicolor.

again, it was a long time ago, soon after i got the car that i got the wing and painted it.
