You know, that's a good suggestion. I've never checked to see if it was chipped or not. I just assumed that it wasn't because the previous owner was a bit of a moron and was running his D16Z6 in this car with a Shift light for a VTEC switch. However, it did exactly the same things with that engine as it is doing with this engine...and the problems didn't start until months after I owned the car. I'm going to swap out the wiring and the ECU and see if it solves the problem. I'll crack open the ECU later when I have some extra time.Synoptic said:Sticker : yeah, better check your ECU, is it chipped ????
