It was an option that is very hard to find these days... some people have mounted them from the civic or integra to work though.
Not bad!

How do you like those prelude seats? I never liked the look of them, but I find that little lever for moving the seat up handy, it's in a much better spot for a low car, and you can get to the back easier.
I think you could order a armrest to be put in in any jdm, usdm, edm, or ukdm civic or crx, couldn't you?
of a prelude huh well i guess i have to take a visit to the local las vegas junk yards and see what i cant get, do the arm rest of a acura and civic look exactly like the one that rex's are suppost to have or its all a blurr know, does anyone know how the original arm rest off a jdm ef8 from japan are suppost to look like ( try saying that 10 times fast  )
All EF armrests are the same basic design, but the Civic armrests are a little wider than the CRX ones at the base, and have a rear ashtray. I have an armrest from a Civic Wagon, it's identical to what you'd find in a Civic hatch.
I've got one that isn't installed yet. I can lay it in there tomorrow and snap a pic of it quick for ya.

It is NOT a strictly "JDM" item.

The armrest was an available accessory option from Honda.
They are hard to find since Honda no longer produces them, very few ppl orderd them, which makes them kind of pricey and somewhat rare if you do find one.

Bascially, all the armrest are the same, 86-89 Integra,88-91 Civic/Crx and 88-91 Prelude. Their might be some slight differences as jfro pointed out, but they are the same and essentially mount the same way.

Since the original armrest are difficult to find and $$$, i went out and took an armrest from a 96-00 Civic, trimmed it up and bolted it down.
I find it to be more sturdy and stable.
I have a 94 teg console in mine and it's too damn wide. It hits the lever to flip the seat forward on the passenger seat. It's not 'bolted down' cause I don't have the bracker and it doesn't fit with my crx center console. Does anyone know why? Or is it normal for it to be so damn tight.

On a non-center console note, I'm liking the look of those prelude seats in the CRX, I have those seats in the lude and they are so comfortable. Maybe I should look into doing that cause my Si seats are really worn. Mind explaining or even taking a picture of your rails and sending it to me?

The 94-01 Teg armrest is not the best choice, it is too short to meet up with the Crx shifter console. I don't know how it can be too wide, it should be the same width as a Civic and mine doesn't rub on anything.
The 96-00 Civic armrest is a better a;ternative, you will need to trim and taper the civic armrest to mate up with the Crx console, and but it works fine.

94-01 Integra Armrest (not my car)

My interior w/ the 6th gen Civic armrest
Not a good pic to show how it mates to the shifter console, but it does fit much better than an Integra one since it is a bit longer.

I'l take a picture of mine tonight...at the same time I'll clean my interior cause it's embarrasing right now lol. Mine fits the console alot nicer but it's pinched. Maybe cause it's a civic and not a crx? But that wouldn't make much sense.

The entire center console from an 86-89 Integra would fit in a 4th gen Civic.

Try finding one of those! Those are just as rare as civic wagons.

They are not that difficult to find at all.I have had a few and see a lot of 1st gens in the salvage yards. The center console is not hard to find, but finding one with the armrest is.
One of the ones i had bought some time ago had the factory Eq still in it.

We have different yards then. Most yards around here crush all the honda/acuras from 91 and under. The only ones I see alot of are the second gen tegs. The first gens are a rare piece in our yards. Would a gen 2 fit?
2g Tegs have a center console similar to a Crx, the center console is integrated into the dash.
As for an armrest from a 2g Integra, those are VERY hard to come by, so i don't know if they would fit or not.
