I got a CF hatch compartment cover. Tired of my broken down one.

Nice!

We've got the same one going into my yellow car (whenever i decide to actually finish it), AND one going into the KRX Restoration Project thats here at the shop.

The only thing i don't like about it, is the hinges look like they came out of a dime-store grab bin... cheap crap. So they will be replaced here by some nice stainless hinges 8)
if i had the money to replace mine, i would definatly do that. I think it looks awsome.
I want one of those! but not the CF, i would love to get my hands on the fiberglass shell before the CF.

My biggest problem with them are the hinges. They look like the came from home depot and belong on a screen door or somthing. Other than that :)b
Personally, I would paint it a flat charcoal gray.
You know what would be cool? Use a piece of CF that has no resin on it around the hinge area, sort of like how the old cover used the cloth/carpet like hinge. I think that would work and look super neat-o.
Dren, that is actually a great idea. It would be a very strong joint too. Someone should do it.
That's a great idea. Those hinges above look horrible. A stainless steel piano hinge UNDERNEATH would also look much better.
 ......

Sexy.....I didnt know they made those in CF, where did you get it?
I do agree the hinges look at little....outa place?

Got it thu Autosportz.com They don't make it. Came from a distributor. There is a coupon on line so I got I think 10% off. (you can google search the coupon)
I agree the hinges are not the best but feel very strong. I actually think a piano hinge on the other side would have been the strongest and asthetically pleasing. I'll think about the stainless steel idea. Only downside to that is it brings more attention to the hinge when I dont want to.
Overall, its a lot better the the partialy ripped stock one I had that kept falling all over the place. Whats wrong with Honda anyhow. It only lasted 17 years!
and 200,000 miles. What a ripoff
