Does anyone know if seats from a 2000 Integra GSR fit in my 89 rex dx? Probably have to use some different rails? Or not. Not sure.
Thanks
BP
They will NOT drop in and bolt right in.
Only seats that fit a Crx are Crx seats.
You can get them to fit, BUT you will sit higher and you need to get the welder out and modify the rails.

Not even that is true :rolleyes1:
OK, my statement was too general, technically NO, not all Crx seats will fit in any Crx, because of variances/differences throughout the world in the car.
89-91 Crxs US Crx's are slightly different than the rest of the world when it comes to seat mounting, right?
The rest of the world had seats that mounted like the US '88?

This info can be had on H-T with good explanation. Anyway I'll tell you what I know:

GSR Leathers can be put in with some effort. What you need to do is swap over the seat pans. I have a pair sitting in my car right now. DO NOT get the GSRs with the lumbar support, as this makes the whole process for the D/S Seat 10x harder. The bolts will not line up properly on the side closest to the door and you may have to drill to get it to work. It was a bitch for me.

Anyway, you pull out the pins on the bottom of both seat pans, remove them from the foam and keep the foam and material together. You may need to cut the foam a bit to get the CRX pan to fit well, but after that you can do what I did - ghetto ziptie the fabric to the pan, or try to reuse the prior pins. The upper portion of the GSR seat should bolt in pretty well to your seat pan. The rails then will mount fine to the original CRX pan you have. The only problem is getting the pan snugly attatched to the left support bar on the D/S seat with a lumbar support, or should (haven't done one without) attatch fine to a non-lumbar supporting seat.

I can take pics this weekend if you like when I take my seats out for a bit of torquing and to check to make sure everything looks good.
