what are some lightweight subs that you guys know of or some speakers that have good bass. I don't want that much weight on the crx.

I know for awhile you could actually get ahold of 6" or 8" subs that you could fit sneaky places, albeit without the best box / acoustics. Do a search for em you might find some somewhere, they should be relatively light. The better the output, and sound, the heavier the sub.
polk audio is a real light weight sub, but the box is where all the weight is!!! my box weighed a ton, but it was also a banpass box

Yeah you would have to make a box from fiberglass maybe on top of the spare tire area. You could also see if a shallow mount 10' sub weighs less.
how tall are you? and where do you usually keep your seat/passanger seat? you can get 8inch woofers and they are pretty light and instead of buying inclosures you could always build your own out of MDF using the rise area behind the seats kind of like an extension of the "trunk"
If you want a sub that is 12" and want to beat like a mofo, look into critical mass, they are one hell of a brand, :) but i like Digital Designs better, but for what you're looking for, look into critical mass.

DD, While overpriced, never... ever.. ever die. They are amazing subs.

Fi, RE (expensive), T3, Atomic(expensive), Crunch are a few names that pop into mind.

Fi and T3 make some amazing lower level subs that you can romp on forever, and the Crunch Ground Pounder is definatly the best sub per dollar out there. Get a 10 in a low tuned box and youll be set.
Majicly, i've taken 2 3500 DD 10" subs, and pushed a 152 DB, for under $2500 Which is amazeing, because alot of kids brag about hitting a 140 and they are spending 1000 a sub, which is horrible, not includeing 1000 dollar amps. But for the most part, anything from the maxsonic corp, you would have to use over two times the protect to keep up with DD, :) and i am a DD dealer, i know prices.
