Theres a small story behind this car,in around September of '05, before I took off to work in LA with the katrina relief. I had to go to one of my boss's house in WV to get some supplies. Well this CRX was parked next to an embankment with no tags. I figured somebody got it to save gas or something, I had only had my 89 si for about 4 months. Well I get back in November and Im riding up the same road with one of my other bosses the car is still there in the exact same spot. I stopped and asked about it and the women said it was for her son to drive when he got his drivers.
Shortly after I totaled my 89 si I was looking in the trader, and not finding anything in the Autos. This all while eating at my workplace, I handed it to a friend and he started browsing through it randomly.....Then hands it back to me and tells me to look in the motorcyle section....And sure enough theres a 88 CRX for sale with a WV number. I called it and its the same car I seen a little over a year ago. I go look at and it hasnt moved an inch and the woman recognizes me, she was like this is a little messed up. I was like yeah it is, I swear I was stalking the car....
Then I goto start it and, well dead battery, bad main relay, 2 fuses are blown, and the fuel pump is bad. We pulled the fuel float thing (whatever the thing is under the cargo box), and well....its pretty nasty and I can smell and see why the pump is bad.
But this is all cool as I expected something was up. Its an 88HF, exactly what I wanted....And....
That is ALL the rust it has!!! Like 70% less than my 89 SI lol! And Im really digging the 88 style doors. Now I can really put the parts from the 90 Si parts car to use.
