OK, so i've finaly started the z6 swap. I'm at the point where i'm connecting the wires from the z6 dizzy to the a6 plugs for the wire harness. there are the same number of wires, and mostly the same color. There is only one wire that does not match. The z6 dizzy has one white wire and one yellow wire with a gren stripe. the a6 plug has 2 white wires. i dont know what to do at this point, any help would be appreciated. i'm stumped.

heres the wires if you want to see.

Blue/Green Blue/Green Dark Blue CKP P
Blue/Yellow Blue/Yellow White CKP M
Large White Yellow/Green Yellow/Green ICM
Black/Yellow Black/Yellow Black/Yellow IGN
Blue Blue Light Blue RPM

You're going from OBD0 to 1, obviously. The large white is sort of apart from the rest too.

just a side note lose the butt connectors... they are nothing but trouble.... Solder and shrink wrap are cheaper and WAY better.. .

chris
my thoughts exactly

last thing you need is a weird ign problem due to loosely crimped wires

yea. why not repin it using the obd0 plugs?
i repinned my engine harness for obd1 plug
reason being that if your distrubitor (obd1) does you will have repin the distrubiter AGIAN, where as if you repin the engine harness an obd1 distrubitor will plug right in

the reason i repined the dizzy was that it did not have the connectors on it in the first place. the butt connectors are temporary. i will be soddering them once i know everything works.
