Great to see a team with less than half the payroll of the Yankees knock them out of the playoffs. Wonder if A-Rod will be the first to go.

the game was terrible

i couldnt watch the whole thing

i took a nap and woke up and saw them down 0-7

rediculous

they played like ****
THEY (my team) played awesome!
I was working outside and listening to the game on a local station here in town. Fantastic for Detroit as a city. Everybody here is just in love with the Tigers right now. Especially since hockey just started and the Lions are terrible.

How about 26 of them?
WOOT!!!
Go detroit!
Nyeah-nyeah to bad for NY.
Can I hear tigers FTW.
This town hasn't been this excited about BB since 84.
Serves king gorgie right.
This is what you get when you have players playing for a paycheck, instead of for the team.

Oh, and thanks, george, for sending the salaries and my ticket prices through the stratosphere.

Free agency blows.

Oh, and who cares what they did, it's NOW that counts.

All 26 of those were NOW at one point. :) Now may be what counts, but having almost 3 times as many WS rings as the next closest team (9) will never be a "who cares" issue.
Um, it's a "who cares" issue to me.

I don't particularly dislike the players, they are just being greedy humans...I blame george for the mess in ALL the pro sports.

Now, think about it before you start yelling.

I submit that George changed the face of pro sports.
By trying to buy the best team that money can buy, he ruined pro sports.
How?
By raising the salaries of the best players, other sports stars got the idea that "If a center fielder batting .325 can make that much, I(as a basketball\hockey\football star) should get as much, or more.
Would it have happened eventually?. Yes.

So, the era of the player staying in one city for life is long gone, loyalty to the fans, who cheer and follow players means nothing...the almighty dollar is the over-riding factor.
As fan's we lose.
Athletes, owners and agents don't give a damn.

But George started it, and fans of ALL pro sports pay the price.

That's why george stienbrenner is such a tool.

Excellent point.
A-Rod makes how much a year? Like 10 million. And he plays like that in post season.
These guys are overpaid.
All of them.
Every single pro sports guy makes too much damn money.
And nobody can aruge otherwise to me, because my wife and I are both teachers who make crap wages.
I think it is fun to hear interviews with old time pro athletes like NFL guys. I heard an interview a while ago with a guy who played for the Stealers (I think), who actually had a full time job when the football season was over. That is why I think they should make the seasons longer. Do it like everybody else does. Give them 4 weeks off a year. Then run them into the groud.
That would be so coo. :D

Well, all signs would point to my subject NOT being spelling.:)
I am a grade school band director.
It cant buy a world series but it can almost insure a post season showing every year.
