Yes hello all again. I was wondering if there was a huge difference between the d series block and a zc series block. The reason that I am asking is that I have a bunch of parts already for the d series but I would like to ge DOHC motor and yet still use all the parts that I have.

Yes I was wondering if 590 dollars is a good price for a dohc zc motor. They say that it is rated for about 137hp and 108 torque. I just want to make sure that its a good deal and that a d series turbo manifold will fit on it.

$590 is not a bad price. HMO has them for $550, or $700 with the tranny.
If you're picking it up local you probably can't find a better price, you'll save a bunch on shipping.

The numbers are a little bit off, DOHC ZCs are generally considered to be 129~130 hp. I'm not 100% sure on the torque figure but I think it's 106.

A D-series manifold will fit, at least the ports and the bolts will line up. I know on 92-95 Greddy manifolds you have to remove some material to get it flush with the block. I guess it depends on which manifold you have in mind.

I am not sure as to what manifold that i have I was told that it will fit a d series block. But I want to build a very fast CRX and from my understanding that I will get more out of a DOHC motor than My SOHC. So this is why I am searching around. But like i said i already have alot of parts for what I have so I dont want to have to rebuy or sell and loss money if I dont have to. So I will take all the information that someone has to offer. So thank you. And also I will have some new pics of my rex coming soon. I just recieved the rims today already put the rubber on them will probably put them on the car tommorow so I can take some picks I just hope that it ends up looking as good as I imagine. And again thanks for the help. Later

550 dollars for a zc? are you kidding.. come to pa and i will take you to my local junkyard. there are 6 1st gen integras, all 5sp. all hit in the rear that i know of. i was there 2 days ago. all have the original dohc 1.6 motor. you have to pull it yourself but you can get the full swap for 150 bucks. and a few hours of work.

Those D16A1s will not bolt into a 2nd gen CRX, and they're down on power too, by about 12 hp.

Good deal for motors that will not even bolt up to 2nd gen Crx and have a lower hp raiting than the Zc. :rolleyes1:

The d16a1's (1st Gen Teg motors) are really only good swaps for 3rd Gen Civics/1st Gen Crx's.
