I have this set of mudlfaps that I've been thinking of selling becasue I don't like the way they look. They look too long, and now that the car has been lowered, they are less than two inches off of the pavement when installed.
The flaps have a natural line on them, and i was thinking of cutting them down along this line to make some more modest and possibly handsome looking flaps. not sure I want to cut up a set of perfectly good mudflaps though when I know that people want them.
Here are some bad phtotshoped pics, what do you think?

Are those OEM CRX mudflaps? When I lowered my car, they were rubbing a bit. I called a friend of mine who also has a lowered CRX, he said just drive it for a couple of days and they will scrape down to the right size... they did and it's fine now, you don't even notice any more.

I'd say cutting them would look okay if you cleaned up the edges well. I think painting them red is a no-no. A little gawdy.

However, if you are cutting them down so much, why not just take them off completely?

Ya, I didn't paint them red. I'd never do that. Thats the other thing too, if i cut them and i don't like them, then i jsut wasted a perfectly good stock set of flaps that someone else could use. I'll prob just sell them.
