a few days ago my crx would start up but when i tried to drive it, it would rev up to about 5,000 rpms and only go about 5 mph and now it wont go at all, like its stuck in nuetral or somthing. has anyone else had this problem, or know what it could be?

Is the clutch cable stuck or too tight (out of adjustment)? Is the clutch lever on the tranny stuck? Is the clutch is gone? Check those things first.

Make sure the passenger side axle is completely engaged in the tranny.

If this was the case, would the car still move?

When you move the shifter, does it feel normal? I mean, can you feel the transmission move into gear? When you let the clutch out, can you feel the clutch engage the flywheel?

everything feels normal in the car, when i shift it feels like its going into gear but im not sure. could it be that the gear or flywheel, or whatever the heck is down there, is all worn out?

Like I said before, check the clutch cable first. Make sure it's not stuck or too tight. If it's not that, it could be that the clutch is worn out or not engaging.

This happened to me after I had stopped to get gas. As I was leaving the gas station, I pulled into the road and then all of a sudden I wasn't moving. I was able to push the car into a parking lot and thought I had f'd up my clutch. As my cousin and I were about to drop the tranny, he noticed my passenger side drive shaft was snapped in half. Returned the clutch kit we bought and found a used driveshaft for $30. Problem solved.

If you are not sure what is going on with it i would have it checked out by someone who does. .

It sounds like your clutch is cooked. . . . .did you smell anything while this wad going on? any smoke?
does the clutch feel good or is something strange feeling?
