My CRX's new groove. 8)

Got tired of my Wings West midwing spoiler and the stupid looking blue stripes that I had down my car. So I decided to do a little makeover for my daily driver. I removed the spoiler and added some new graphics. I'll be adding a mugen flushmount spoiler as soon as i can get it painted to match. Here's the latest pic. Let me know what you think.

PS: Are there going to be image size restrictions for these forums?

Oooooh, very nice, I like.

Silly question, you made that by yourself? Can you make similar ones or other graphics that would run the length of the car? I bought a poster off of eBay a little while back that had these graphics running down the side and across the hatch of a CRX that looked nifty to me.

Sorry for the lousy pic

Yes, I made those graphics myself. I kind of specialize in making replica graphics...especially for designs that are discontinued.

I could probably make up something similar for you. I wouldn't be able to do the gradient fade like on that decal (it looks like it fades from one colour to another from the front to the rear of the vehicle). But I could die cut some vinyl in the colour of your choice. I'd need the exact measurements so that I can make it accurately to scale. Let me know, and I'll try to figure something out for you.
Stickershop do you have a pic of a mugen wing? I think its the one that goes down over the sides in the rear right. Also where can you get one? Importing it from a supplier? All I can find is that C/F copy which doesnt look all that bad, I think it will go well with my WW kit.
Hey there. I just took a picture of it for you. It is an original mugen flushmount spoiler (made of polyurethane...bendy!). It attaches to the flat back of the hatch and extends the look of the car a bit. They are discontinued. I purchased this one privately...took me a few months to negotiate the sale.

Well, I would like to implement something similar to the recent sizing change done on the Resource. Maybe this is something we can vote on and see what everybody else thinks.

I think the auto-resizing feature was perfect...because then you can maintain a nice clean look to the forum without having to enforce anything. The less enforcement in a forum, the better, as far as I'm concerned. Plus, the auto resizing thing still allowed you to view the image in it's original size in a separate window.
That mugen wing is hot !! I pm'd you about the mid wing... . but would gladly buy that one off you as well. . . ( hahaha) Like i am sure that I could afford it. . .
Still nice wing and the stripes look good
You lucky bast&*^!!!
Color me green with envy!
I have been on the look out for a "ducktail" like that one for years.
That wing is the shiz. You seem to be looking in the same spoilers as me stick.

Keep an eye out on the Honda-Tech classifieds. They come up all the time. However, a lot of guys try to pass off the fiberglass ones as authentic Mugen. When in doubt, ask them to take a picture of them bending the wing slightly. This'll weed out the fiberglass guys really quick. :p The cheapeast I've seen real mugen ones (used) go for is $350 US. Talk about sticker shock...ok ok, that pun was a bad one ;)
id love to have that mugen decal if i ever put any mugen parts on the car.
Does it look anything like this when on the car. Or is this just an exaggerated copy not an exact copy. Anyway what do you think of it?

Not really. The closest copies out there are the Wings West fibreglass one and the VIS Racing Carbon Fibre one. The mugen one doesn't go over the top of the hatch like that. It looks like this on a vehicle:

never really realized it before how similar the 2g mugen wing is to the 1g mugen wing... check it out if you've never seen it before, this one's in carbon fiber but it's the only pic i could find:

were there any optional upper hatch spoilers for the 2g like there was this one for the 1g? it was only available in canada and japan. i have one :) people on rpr are working on reproducing a carbon fiber version of it

eww those wings are ugly, lol.
LOL. You aren't alone in your feelings. A lot of people don't like them all that much. But *I* do. :D

PS. Isn't free speech without consequences great? :D

Hey! I saw one of those at the wrecker the other day! I don't think they were ever an option for the 2nd gen. The only back window accessory we had were the window louvres.

I'll check to see if it's still there the next time i'm out that way. This auto wrecker is 60 miles outside the city. Which is good, because it doesn't get picked over quite as badly by all the ricers.
Thanks Stickershop for posting pics of the wing on the car yeah that C/F wing I posted looks nothing like the real deal.
