Ah well, since I own a dyno, why not take my CRX to it ? And while at it, why not take all the extra time to fine tune it ?

Well I did it over two days. checking everything twice, etc.. Here's my crappy setup:

Motor
D16Y7 : 200$
Lightened OEM Flywheel : 80$
D15B7 Light crank pulley : 0$
OBD1 conversion : 0$

Turbo
450cc DMS : 80$
IHI RHB5-VJ11 off a 626 : 80$
Custom Exhaust Manifold and downpipe: 120$
Custom Intercooler : 200$
Flanges : 60$
Charge Pipes : 100$

Exhaust :
2.25 NON mandrel with resonator
1.75 muffler custom made (crap)

175 HP from 5600 to 6400 RPM
160 lb/ft from 2500 - 5750 RPM

150 WHP

I should take some and submit for featured. I think I will do it when I get my new exhaust.
cool, it sounds like its a pretty cool car.

good luck, and keep it going
Sa weeet!!!!
Very nice torque curve! Must be a great daily.
How many miles per gallon do you get?
What do you mean by, "lightened crank pulley"?
Did you lighten it or is it a lighter stock pulley?
what PSI?
Very small Lag.

5 - 6 psi depending the RPM

Stock 1988 cranck pulley which contains no damper, and is lighter than the Y7 one.

Very nice daily driver, and highway car. MPG is 22.72 but I could go easily way more economical if I dont go into boost and race the kids from time to time.

Btw, I've retrofitted my PLX Wideband into my ECU and will use eCtune to get a 15.2 - 15.5:1 AF in closed loop, which will make my MPG go higher, maybe close to 35 MPG if I dont go into boost.
D series FTW!

Is that the HF pulley?

Nah, D15B2 DX pulley from 1988-1989

The D15B7 is a 92-95 engine, 88-91 dx is D15B2. :p
That's what I was thinking. Got me all confused.

Another way to lighten a flywheel is to pay a machine shop 20$ to machine off the 2 extra pulleys for AC and PS, if your like me and you only run the alternator.

"Duh, Ma, is that mac a cheese for dinner....?"

"No its an MX6/Probe turbo.....", "Duh....."

Well, now I know why theres hardly any lag...."Duh..."
Good deal noppy.
I ran a RHB5 on my rex when I first got her.I liked the fact that the RHB5 boosted fast, but I didn't like the fact that she seemed to run out of steam too quickly for me.

I'm soooo jealous..I want to get on that dyno! :(

I started a new job lately and have had no time to work on my car.. :(
