My first drag race

It was at the Florida Meet 2 weeks ago. I was only going to watch, but Tom (crxfisher) convinced me to get a baseline run before my B16 swap. Behold the blistering speed of my dx auto! I was in the left lane, Tom with his I/H/E 90 Si in the right.

I totally scored higher! lol

Uh, yeah, it's auto. Like I said right there in the post. Still DPFI too. :lol: But it won't be for too much longer, I guess about 2 months.

I don't really need to make excuses, but I had a bunch of stuff in the trunk for that run, including my full subwoofer setup. I wasn't planning on racing, it was pretty much spontaneous. If I had time to prepare it for a night at the drags, I could probably break 18s. :shock: :twisted:

I really don't think the 60 foot can improve when I'm only pushing 92 hp through an automatic.

I made one of those DPFI 1.5L Auto CRX get a 17.8 in the 1/4 mile...you must of been doing something wrong

Well, I don't know how much harder I can push the pedal.

My car was loaded with stuff though, and my heavy wheels don't help.

Quick crying

. I made my D15B2 automatic hatch run a 17.7 before I pulled the engine and put in the SOHC ZC and 5 speed swap. You can improove by a few seconds. My D15 was worn, burned ALOT of oil and whined at higher RPMS lol. It didn't idle nice and it never wanted to start haha. It never died on me tho.

The CRX i ran is CRXFORUM's from HTs beater. It broke right after it ran 17.8 haha!

Well, my CRX is slow and I'm proud of it. 8)

The whole stock drivetrain is coming out though, VERY soon. :wink:
