Hey, I just joined up. Name's Torbs. My current CRX project is an 89 DX auto (well the title says that anyway)...here's what it is:

Current mods: RHD front clip conversion already done (Granted it's an EF9 front clip, CRX everything still bolts up fine and the body kit was fitted for a time with it...so it's good to go)
full Invidia exhaust
11" brakes
Authentic Blackwidow Widebody kit w/ the carbon fiber edition of the hood (still waiting for the hood to come in...should be here anyday now *hopefully*)
H22 motor with Type S pistons, stock head...0 miles on rebuilt bottom end
Painless wiring 8 circuit harness and box...*FOR SALE*...$300 (new from summit it's $440...go look it up if ya don't believe me)

Future plans:
JDM Glasstop (my top is F-d bc of what the past owner's brother did...pix later on will show what I mean...lets just say it involves a piece of sheet metal and STICK welding...this is the orig. top that got messed up, so it's an excuse for me to buy the glasstop :))
H2B conversion with a YS1 and LSD
JRSC @ 6psi
Get the body kit wrapped in carbon fiber (if this place in South Dakota will do it for me...I'm from Fargo, ND btw)
17" Rota JMAG's (when they come out...was told 6-12 months til they're out)
W/e isn't carbon fiber will hopefully be painted chrome illusion (I am still thinking about this one)
CF racing seats
...many many more too

I know that talk is a bunch of **** unless it's otherwise backed up. I dont have anything to back it up with as of right now, and probably won't for quite awhile. I am 19 and dont have a huge amount of funds to deal with...but I'm hoping this car will be done w/in 2 years.

i'm still workin on pix...all i got is my phone and its a 1.3mp...i got the body kit because it came with the car, as did the brakes, exhaust, and conversion...I am getting 17" just to make sure that the 11" brakes fit. Also, I already own the motor...the bottom end is in the process of being rebuilt with new rings and crank...i'm debating sleeving it yet. Also, the reason for all the "wanting" of the CF is because this is primarily going to be a show/weekend car...and i'm going for the "WTF" factor anyway.

so yea...pix when i can ok guys :)

It's funny that 1.3 megapixels is considered in the realm of "all I got is this lame 1.3mp camera phone" nowadays. I got my first digital camera back in 1999, it was an Olympus that cost me about $300. In "high res mode" (and yes, there was a setting worse than this) it took pictures that were a whopping 640 x 480 pixels. If you convert that to megapixels, that's .3 MP...yes, THREE-TENTHS of a megapixel. Printing them at standard 300 pixels per inch resulted in a very small printout, as you can figure out. So, that's why phrases like "all I got is a 1.3mp phone" crack me up.

I can't wait until the day our future kids are nagging for the newest version of their all-in-one camera/video recorder/phone/laptop/TV/microwave/intercontinental missile launcher that they NEED to exist comfortably.
