ok well someone flipped the ecu cover around on my ecu......... so wow i can see the blinky light now :rolleyes1:

throwing a 7 tps, but heres the deal, its plugged in, what could be wrong with it, help me fast plez, now that i have my lisence i wanna drive lol

also when i pull number 4 spark wire it still doesn't do anything

with the TPS, i would say the only things that could be is a faulty wire, a short, or most likely, a bad TPS.

i switched out my tb with another one, and its still throwing the same code, how do i go about tracing this [*****}

The factory service manual has a troubleshooting flow chart for said code.
There's more to it than simply replacing the part.

I've also found that some bad sensor codes have to do with bad ground connections. Are you sure all yours are connected, clean and tight?

You will throw a tps code if its off adjustment too far. Try moving it a little bit, tighten it down, reset ecu and try again.

Not rivets..they are bolts without a head..
Cut a slot with a dremel and loosen with a flat blade screwdriver..

I believe its .5 volts? when you measure the 2 wires. Needs to be close to that.

right but i don't get exactly how to adjust the tb itself? is there a dial on the inside once i get it off

you just loosen the 2 screws then rotate it back and forth. Dont have to take it off.

ever thought of it being a shiaght in the wire?even if u redo the volts it still wil throw the code.i had same prob. i keep messing with the volts thinking it wasnt set right.well come to find out i had a short in the signal wire. it was showing volts but it wasnt enough.so i wire it to the ecu and now its showing the voltage it should.

btw if u fix it this waybe sure to hook the new wires up to the old harness wires cause u got 3 other senors that use that same signal wire as the tps does.if u dont hook them boack up u will throw a cel for all three of them sensors.
