Didnt know if anyone would be interested in a Garage Day. I have lots of little and big projects going on that would be made so much more easier if i had access to a lift, mainly my tie rod ends. It seems as if we've been getting a few more New Englanders on the board so i thought i would ask. Hopeful Tom #1 as he is known as, can host so we have access to the lift. If not i may know of a few places that may offer help.

So who is up for one?

Yeah id be down especially to do my suspension/brake and steering work. My turbo stuff is finally going to get in there one of these upcoming weekends, but i have to install:

My newly acuired HF FSB
F7 Rear Control Arms w/ new endlinks
Aluminum drums
Fastbrakes Wilwood Front Brake kit
Quaife QuikRack
Competition Engineering Tie Rods
and the LCAs and forks Tom1 sandblasted for me

It would be amazing to do that all at once with some help. I may even be persuaded to let people take the turbo beast for a ride :)

Id be willing to put in time equivalent to whatever mine takes times the number of people participating.

Damn guys, putting me on the spot...

My access to the shop isn't that easy, it's technically limited to students/staff/alum and family members of the managers. Good thing Matt is my sister and Tom is my cousin ;). It's a little more lax when school is out, like during the spring break or summer, when you've both been up. We could probably still work something out. It doesn't sound like either of you has too much to do, mostly bolt-in and replacement stuff, I'm sure even just the three of us could take care of it pretty easily. We'd have plenty of time for the pub!

I have to talk to this guy at my local shop to see if maybe he would let us use it on a sunday. Has two lifts and everything else. He's a cool guy but i dont know if he'll let us use it. I'll keep you posted on that. Plus, is there really a use for it if we only need it for three people?

You need a stock or aftermarket flywheel? I have a couple of stock ones you're welcome to. I'll help you out with the mini-me too, since I've done it, it shoulld go smoothly, and I can do the wiring for you to save the headache.

Damn, I still have one more year to go.
Good thing I know all the waitresses/bartenders ;)

I talked to one of my advisors for the shop, and it's cool if you guys come up, this week preferably. I have to charge you something for it, for bay/lift time, but it won't be much and we can work that out on AIM or something.

Good news for you Tom, we just learned inner tie rods on the HF tonight, installed the Competition Engineering ones (more on those later, I'm disappointed).

So you guys should hit me up on AIM or something, we'll have a nice little meet here, probably six CRXs, maybe more if I can get Marty to come down!

After talking with tom, it looks as if we are shooting for a date of the 6th or 7th. Just giving people a chance to plan for it if they wanted to come.

It's a 6 hour drive in a bad clutched 1.5 Dx with bad struts and alignment on 13" snow tires. If I toss a DOHC ZC, Si trans, Si axles and an excedy cltuch kit in the trunk, think we could squeeze a motor swap, MPFI wiring and clutch job in with all that? lol...

Definitely! This is going to be fun, I wonder how many CRXs we can park in the shop...

Maybe we can get Scott and Cory to come out too? You guys have no excuse if Jason is driving all that way!

How can I carry parts w/the hauler down? Besides, I start my new job on Monday morning. Otherwise, I'd be more than down.
Rochester aint that far out of my way ... mind sitting on top of a ZC that's seat belted in to the passenger floor with no seat? lol

We wont be bored if all these people come down. And lets see, one on the lift, one under it, one in front of it, and two or three in the side of the lift. Plenty of parking in front too. Five or six in the shop, 20 or so out side. Do we have enough crx's to fill the bill?

Haha, well I don't think we will have a problem. Jason's car will take a bay and a half (to fit the hoist) and we can get Matt's stuff done fast on the lift. Seriously, with so many guys we will be making these jobs fast and easy. I'm pretty sure almost all of us have swap experience too, so the biggest job isn't even a problem.
