Just wanted to say hi to everyone, I usually avoid automotive forums. Mainly due to highly opinionated individuals who voice how you should take care of your own vehicle. I've always had the thought of "To everyone their own." I've checked out this forum a little and it seems to have a fair amount of nice helpfull people here.
A little info about my CRX, it is a 1988 HF. I've owned it for many years but haven't driven it for nearly 4 years now. I have changed out the engine with a 1.5l 16v SOHC with the Si intake manifold. I purchased it for fairly cheap ($1,700.00USD) when they were selling for around 3,000-4,000 with 189,000mi and several rust holes.
It was a fixer-upper. After several months of dumping my paycheck and every waking moment into it, I had a nice little crx which I drove religiously for 9 months until it was stolen and stripped to the frame.
I'm currently fixing it to a road worthy condition again, due to a slim selection of parts and a limited budget, it unfortunatly will not be as subtle as it used to be. I'm sure it will be called a "ricer" or "rice boy"...but I perfer the term "boy racer"
With that said, I hope to be able to put in some helpfull advice and also learn from this forum. Thanks for reading my long introduction.
Here is a quick snapshot of the CRX as of date...pardon my messey garage I've been constantly working on the body, interior, engine, and everything else for the past 4 weeks as I sold my daily driver.
