do whatever you feel like man. If you want it stock leave it like that. Just do what you need to be happy with the car.

I have a damn near mint 88si. In a way I dont want to change it because its so clean etc... The itch is getting harder to scratch and Ive only had it for less than a month. Like SETI said, its a default. Now I have to start over.

Do what ever you want to do but keep all the stock parts in a box with all the misc. bolts and fasterners in baggies tied to their respective parts and don't do any mods that would be irreversable. That way, you can go back to stock with some wrenching and still have the "stock" value in the car if you decide to sell it.

It's a win/win.

what ever you do keep all the stock stuff and dont lose it because if you ever sell this sell it as stock and i bet in a couple years you'll probably gain money off of it since there getting more rare.

With clean 2nd gens getting harder to find.I say keep her stock. You already seem to have a "project" car so why not rock a nice clean DD?
A few minor reversable mods can be fun,but save all your parts mang.

I'm in the same boat. I picked up a good condition 99% stock (just stereo mods) 89 Si this past summer. My intent was to keep it stock because it was just so OEM. I then decided that I would swap the suspension from my other modded CRX that I autocross. I then sold that CRX to a friend and decided a few weeks ago that the A6 was tired and now I'm working on a swap.

My thought now is this: Although it would be great to keep it stock because they're becoming rarer, especially unmolested, and would have better resale value...it's my car and I need more power. I don't ever plan on selling it, so resale isn't really a concern to me. Bring on the powa...do the swap...do it right...keep it clean.
