At least all the diagrams seem to be working. I hate that on Majestic where you pull up the category for one thing and the picture is showing a transmission housing (completely unrelated) from a different car.

I've always wondered when putting in our car info on these sites... What is the difference between "KA5MT", "KH5MT", and "KL5MT"?

I just ordered the timing belt, water pump, and some gaskets from Majestic. I originally printed out the parts list from their site and highlighted the parts and prices, then took it to the local Honda dealer to see if they could match the prices. No good. He originally quoted me about 15% more than the "List Price" on Majestic's site. I asked him to match the "Our Prices" from Majestic, and he said he couldn't. That was just barely over their cost. So I said, "Thanks, I'll pass. See ya."

My parts came out to about $83 before shipping. About half of what the dealer was going to charge me, and half of the parts weren't in stock. I really don't know why I even bother going into any physical building to buy anything anymore. Everything is so much cheaper on the net.

Auto Parts Section
Directory of Terms

  • KA : 49 State Emissions
    KL : California Emissions
    KH : High Altitude Emissions
4MT : Four Speed Manual Transmission
5MT : Five Speed Manual Transmission
    STD : Standard Transmission
    AT : Automatic Transmission

I think that was from Majestic's site somewhere.

Don't click on fuel tank or you'll be disappointed to find the loved transmission housing. lol Like I think someone else said, if they don't have the correct picture, they must use that one as a default or something. Oh well, at least there are honda sites that have parts catalogs like that, I've tried for ever to find one for nissan with no luck.

I've noticed that sometimes even though the picture is wrong, the parts list is still correct. It was like that when I chose Cylinder Head Cover to select the valve cover gasket. I was still able to order it because the list was right.

I've dealt successfully with both Majestic and Hondapartsdeals. Both their prices are just above list. Shipping time was roughly the same. If you don't need the parts right away then ordering from either will save you cash. But recently the belt tensioner pulley on my D16 crapped out. It was making a horrible rock grinding noise. I couldn't wait the week to week and a half the two online places would've taken. Luckily the nearest dealer (30 minutes away) had one in stock. $43 which was $5 more than Majestic without the shipping and bogus $4 "handling" fee. Online prices are great but not as handy as the local dealer.....
