I have this tendancy to drive fast enought to bend my antenna. This is the second one now that needs replacing.

I was wondering if there were good options out there for either a central mount or over the door mount - but one that won't kink like the stock ones do? Is there something that will patch over the old antenna hole?

That's a new one... I drive fast all the time with the antenna fully extended and never have an issue. So what is this break antenna speed you speak of? :lol:

there are OEM antenna covers available.

using one of those VW golf type antennas in place or near the rear hatch sprayer is common.

only time ive had my antenna fall off is when i used a 76 styrofoam ball at tip. too much drag pulled it off eventually.

I was hoping to keep using that sprayer... except it's clogged anyway at the moment.

alot of people at our shop buy power antennas i'd look into one.

route your antenna through your fender.

Reviving this old thread to ask... does this in-the-fender antenna option only work with fiberglass fenders? Doesn't the metal fender block the signal? Thanks.

From that installation I would expect terrible reception even with a fiberglass fender. With a steel or CF fender the performance would be considerably worse.

I have the exact same one, routed up the side of the interior and stuck on the window in the top passenger corner. It works great.

Yes thats where I had it in the beginning. THen i opened the trunk LOL, ripped that crap in half. Opened the box put the wire inside and brought it back for a new one

Its for power. I wired it up with the "remote" wire on the stereo.

Another good spot to mount this is under cluster cover. that's were my remote antenna is.

My replacement antenna is a power unit from a 3rd gen accord.
