So the one gasket I forgot to buy for my rebuild is the gasket for the oil pump. I was wondering if I would be fine using a liquid gasket maker to seal that up instead of buying a new one. The only reason I ask is that I wont be able to work on my car after this week and I want to get this engine back together before I have to leave.

I would go to Honda and pick one up.

But, I'm sure it's ok as long as it's a high heat, oil resistant gasket maker. If you do it right and clean up after the fact, you wouldn't be able to tell the difference.

You know, I never even though to check a Honda dealer here in town. I'll head over tomorrow and see what they have.
Oh ya man! Always check the dealer. You would be surprised what they still carry. For engines they still carry enough to refurbish it 100%. Probably cause they know they last long enough to be refurbished lol.

Wanna be even happier, you can check it online thru here:

I hope you are talking about part #9, but I'm probably wrong.
