I am wondering the same thing as well.
Oil pump VTEC vs Non Vtec
Am putting together a CR-V/vtec and there is info out there that says I should change my oil pump too for a GSR one since the oil pressure is higher on the VTEC engines than on the non Vtec. Is this true or just more folk lore?

Yes it is true. All Vtec oil pumps are the same and put out a higher oil pressure due to loss of pressure from the oil squriters.
