This may be a very dumb question but I cant seem to locate my oil sensor. Where is it located? I dont know if it's necessary to even replace it. It seems every 2,000 some miles i'm low on oil, could this cause that much of a problem? I know it's gone bad though, the guy that sold me it said needed replaced.

The only sensor related to oil (if your Si is stock) is the oil pressure sending unit, located on the back of the block with one wire. All it does is turn on the oil light in the instrument cluster if the oil pressure falls below something like 7 psi.
If you are losing oil, you are either leaking it onto the ground, or burning it up. Any smoke come from your tailpipe or puddles on the ground?
