We all have them so what are yours?

At the moment Im seaching for a new crx. Im looking through all the honda forums I can find for a crx. So WTF is up with the 4 letter minimum on a search word? Ive noticed alot of automotive forums require 4 letter words or more, so I can just search the Cars for sale forum for CRX!!!

Its a small stupid thing but its driving me NUTS right now :evil: There are tons of cars that have 3 letter names, the whole acura lineup is 2 or 3 letters per car :lol:

When you're searching a forum, you can use "*" as a wildcard. When searching for a CRX, search for " *crx".

people who do half a** on stuff and try to pass it off as qualtiy work. I know alot about building stuff and when i start pointing it out to them, they try to pass it off as its not there fault. Same thing with cars. This is one reason why my car never sees the inside of a shop.

No I'm not going to fix them without you paying. No you don't have a "4 year contract that should have covered everything".

You can also, when you search honda forums like Honda tech, seach for "Honda CRX." That normaly brings up everything.

stick on factory "appearance packages." seems to be all the rage nowadays. as in, "these bumpers and rocker panels don't look sporty enough, so we'll stick something on to make them hang down lower and charge them $1200." they just look cheap and crappy, and annoy the hell out of me.

The thing I hate the most is "must of" or its derivatives. Also when I'm at an intersection with stop or yield signs and other drivers don't know who has the right of way. Another thing that gets me is when I'm driving on a road without marked lanes, like parking lots or residential areas, and someone coming around a curve will cut an apex and damn near hit oncoming traffic. Left lane hogs too, specifically if they won't get over.

honda tech will let you search for just CRX. I tried the wildcard thing and it worked on most sites, but one still wont do it :lol:

On the interstate, a car is in the acceleration lane, they have plenty of room and time to get over and join the flow but they hit the brakes and slow down instead, causing a clusterfornication on the interstate.

On I-77 here in va there are 2 tunnels.
No offense to any one here,
but it SUCKS when out of state people slow down to 35-45mph just before and through the tuneel when the speed limit is 55mph. Some out-of-staters slow done from like 65-70 to 35....THATS A BAD IDEA.

While we're on traffic, over here we have lots and lots of "merging lanes".
A one lane road will turn into 2 lanes at a traffic light to spread traffic out, and after the lights will merge into one again.

There are always people that absolutely HAVE to get in front, and drive all the way to the front, crossing the markings, to over take those 3 extra cars.
I usually block them untill they either run into the divider, the curb, or get behind me.
I've had well over a dozen people curb their car that way. Am I unfair? :rolleyes1:

One of my pet peeves: people that don't use turn signals. But those people don't annoy me nearly as much as the people who selectively use their turn signals. I mean, someone who decides that THIS turn, I'll use it, next turn I won't, etc. As if some turns are blinker-appropriate and others aren't. I guess what bothers me about that is because it seems like they do it on purpose. I can almost understand if someone doesn't use it ALL the time, as if they've shut off that part of their brain. But the selective blinkerers drive me NUTS!

Then there are those who turn on their signal AFTER they're already in the turn lane. What good is that?

I'm well on my to becoming a grumpy old man. Here are just a few of my pet peeves -

Tailgaters awhile back I was heading home from work at around the speed limit (def. not crawling) when some wanna be "gangsta" and haggish gf in mommy's Pontiac Bonneville sped up behind me and stayed inches from my bumper. They were literally so close I could see them clearly. This K Fed wanna be was laughing, smiling telling his girl "he was showing this ricer something". I am not a violent man but I was very close to letting them get ahead of me and following them. I would've loved to see K Fed's reaction when a pissed off 6' 2" 235 lb. man stepped out of the CRX.

Aggressive drivers in giant SUVs and pickups. I live in the deep south, land of giant lifted 4x4s and soccer moms in Excursions. Most of these drivers seem to believe "the bigger vehicle trumps all" at 4 way stops, merging into traffic, changing lanes. It isn't their turn at the 4 way stop, screw it, they're going, they aren't going to let some little Honda go before them. There's a CRX in the lane you want to merge? Just start pulling over, if he knows what's good for him he'll move. They're everywhere and I can't stand them.....

Parking lot idiots. Last December I went to the mall to buy my wife Xmas presents. It was crowded (of course) so I parked as far out as I could. Well when I finished shopping I walked back to my car. There's a minivan parked slightly crooked very close to my car. In between the minivan and my car there's a shopping cart resting against my door. It was dark I moved the cart to get into my car, checked for damage. I didn't see any and headed home. (I was very annoyed they parked so close because there were empty spots all around). When I got home in the light of my garage I noticed about a half dozen dents at the bottom of door right above the molding where the minivan people repeatedly banged that cart into my door. Merry frickin' Christmas. I'm not even going to talk about the day I got my car out of the bodyshop after months (another long story) only to have some SUV driving idiot dent my freshly painted fender and speed off.....

People who don't know how to use a torque wrench (the fuel filters on both my cars required a 3' prybar and a 3' breaker bar to get off the first time).

People who write in all caps, all lowercase, or with absolutely no punctuation.

- People who want to get ahead of me then go slower or set their cruise control lower than what my cruise was set at in the first place.

- People who feel the need to slow down from 70 to 35 just because there are flashing lights up ahead from a (pick one... tow truck, cop car, highway maintenance van) even though it is far out of any lane of travel.

- People who don't know how to merge.

- People who ask questions and don't listen to the answer then ask the same question again.

- People who say "you know" more than once per sentence.
