17" wheels are too big for a crx. No excuses.

With that said, good luck on your wheel search. Sorry I don't have any pics.

I think 17"s are a good size... I bought my 88 with 18" Lexanis, and the inside of my wheel well is damaged because of it... But I think 17"s look good on a CRX!
17's arent too big. people need to get over it  They might be too big for some, but fine for others. I can turn fine, car rides fine, mpg hasnt changed, tires can be had for a good price if you look.

My rex with tha donks!

After 7 years of driving with 17" I've gone down to 16" and prefer it, but anyway here is an old pic with 17's....

I don't think you sacrifice looks with 16's though, here is how my car is currently with 16's....

Car is lowered about 1.75" with springs.

16" is optimal. 17" is do-able, but it really depends on your rim width, offset, and camber settings. Too wide a wheel and/or too far offset and you run into problems with contact with the fender lips. As you can see, I've got about 0 degrees of camber in the rear, i could stand to run around -3 and my wheels fit fine and they 7.5" wide.
However you don't stand to gain much with bigger wheels if you want to reduce your rotational inertia. But they can work just fine.

Hmm i guess they wont be bad after all.. Just need to save up and get some good springs to make em look perfect 8)

I had 17's on my crx when I had it and the rode fine, didn't rub or cause any problems with turning and in my opinion, look good. However, the car is going to look goofy if it isn't lowered as it will have somewhat of a 4x4 stance.

Here's some pics:

Too big.

Ditto too big.
You talk about what aren't the disadvantages but what are the advantages? Looks like the front needs a horse hitching up to it . Go with the 16s or 15s man..................
